Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I am currently providing all psychotherapy via secure telehealth appointments.
My fee is $135 per session. Our first session will be between 50-60 minutes, and subsequent sessions will be between 45-50 minutes, which is the length of a standard psychotherapy hour. Sliding scale fees are available on a limited basis, are based on financial need (determined by family income and household size), and range between $80-115.
My practice is self-pay, which means that I am an out-of-network provider, and that I do not accept insurance for payment of psychotherapy services. This policy means that you and I (rather than the insurance company) get to determine the course of treatment that will be most beneficial for you, and that I am better able to protect your privacy, as insurance companies often demand detailed information about patient history, symptoms, and progress in treatment.
If you do decide that you would like to use your mental health insurance benefits, I can provide you with the necessary documentation that you will need to submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement of my services as an out-of-network provider. If this option is of interest, please check with your insurance company to verify the details for out-of-network services reimbursement.
I accept payment in the form of cash, check, and credit card. Payment is due at the end of each session.
If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, please let me know as soon as possible, and at least 24 hours before the date of your appointment. If you fail to arrive for your scheduled appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged the full session fee. Exceptions may be made for uncontrollable circumstances (e.g., illness, severe inclement weather, school closures) and other emergencies.
